LLM SEO is the discipline of optimizing a site to be cited by LLMs in their answers, not just to appear in Google's list. Key practices include: llms.txt file at the root, dense and cross-referenced structured data (JSON-LD), clear entity with sameAs to external profiles, long and topically coherent content, FAQs with literal questions, and backlinks from citable sources. As users replace traditional searches with LLM questions, LLM SEO becomes as important as classic SEO — and most sites still don't work on it.
